Take Home Naloxone

It’s been a busy spring with a couple of recent projects for Mission Rural and Remote THN Project. The first was a community dialogue I graphic recorded in Deroche, BC.

The second is a custom illustration and design of a poster. The aim is to share it offline and online in the rural areas surrounding Mission, BC.

The look and feel of the campaign came about around how people have Naloxone clipped to their bag at all times. That it is first aid and right there in case of emergency. The project team wanted an illustration of this. I came up with a couple of sketches on paper and got approval for one. From there I created a digital version and began design on the poster. The team wanted a comic-book/superhero feel for the poster with bold graphics and colours. I incorporated their vision with the custom illustration and the poster came together.

The poster and upcoming social media awareness campaign I Support Naloxone should help. Especially around saving lives, as it take first responders longer to reach rural areas.
