I recently finished crafting a hand lettered tarot sign (sandwich board style) using some leftover plywood from my Cutout Photo Standees project. I applied gesso first and measured the letters for height and width. Next I applied a brown antiqued wash over the gesso and began hand painting the TAROT letters on both sides of the board. The final touch was adding a few icons and images related to tarot (moon, pentacles, symbols) along with the logo to my wife’s business ApotheCarrie Tarot
